Proper aftercare and care for your tattoo is important because it will determine the best possible healing process. Obviously, this will have a direct impact on the condition of your tattoo once it’s fully healed.
Products to care for your tattoo
To care for your tattoo, we recommend using these products to ensure optimal healing. Of course, we stock all these products at our Tattoo Shop.

The steps of maintenance and care
Day-1
● Keep the plastic wrap on for 2 hours, gently wash the tattoo with water and unscented soap, then let it dry for 20 minutes.
● Apply a thin layer of Aquaphor cream and wait 20 minutes.
● Put a new layer of plastic wrap over the tattoo.
● Before going to sleep, complete the process and keep the wrap on overnight. Repeat this method every 4 hours (except at night).
Be careful not to let any cream or water accumulate under the plastic wrap!
Day-2
● Remove the plastic film, wash the tattoo with water and unscented soap, let it dry for 20 minutes, then apply a thin layer of Aquaphor cream. After another 20 minutes, cover the tattoo with clean plastic film.
● After the third day, remove the plastic film and simply apply Aquaphor cream three times a day (thin layer) for two weeks.
● The tattoo will begin to peel without forming any scabs.
Important: Do not soak the tattoo (no bathtubs, swimming pools, or saunas). Do not expose it to the sun, scratch the tattoo, or pick at any scabs.
Day 3 (and for 2 to 4 weeks)
● Clean the tattoo once a day following the instructions mentioned above.
● Moisturize the tattoo 1 to 3 times a day by applying a thin layer of unscented moisturizing cream (Aveeno).
Gently rub the cream into the skin using circular motions.
Maintenance and care to be done at all times
● ALWAYS wash your hands before touching the tattoo to clean or moisturize it.
● After a few days, scabs/scabs will form and will eventually fall off on their own. Do NOT pick or scratch them!
● DO NOT submerge the tattoo in water. NO SWIMMING! (Pool, lake, spa)
● DO NOT over-moisturize the tattoo. Too much is just as bad as too little!
● Keep your bedding clean throughout the healing process.
● Keep your tattoo clean by avoiding direct contact with dirty surfaces and not touching it, except to clean or moisturize it.
● Keep your tattoo out of the sun as much as possible.
● Avoid excessive sweating (no intense gym workouts).
● Wear loose-fitting cotton clothing over a fresh tattoo. Avoid using heavily scented laundry detergent and fabric softener on clothing that comes into direct contact with the tattoo.
